I woke to the sound of waves crashing as my nose caught the salty scent of
the ocean. I rolled over to find red rose petals scattered over the bed, with a
long-stemmed one lying in the middle. Securing the sheet around me, I rested on
my elbows before picking up the single rose. Ethan was on his side with his
eyes on me. I twirled the rose and gave him a soft smile. He was without a
shirt and propped on an elbow. His messy hair was wet with droplets of water
dripping along his neck and the contours of his shoulders, before sliding down
his carved chest. The sunlight pouring in from the window made his body gleam.
He always aroused me instantly, but staring at him now made him seem even more
God-like, and I wanted every part of him.
“Did you take a shower without me? That has to be a first.”
Ethan reached over to tuck my hair behind my ears. His hand trailed down my
side to rest on mine. “I got up at sunrise to catch some waves.”
“I didn’t know you surfed. I’m not surprised, since you like wakeboarding
so much.”
He brought our bodies so close that our chests were nearly touching. My
heart sped up as he leaned over me with his hand clamped on my hip. “I surf,
but you’re wrong about boarding. I don’t like it – I love it. Surfers get
really pissy if boarders ruin their ride so I don’t wakeboard when I’m on the
ocean. I settle for catching waves on a different board, but I don’t love it
nearly as much.”
I caught the passion in his eyes. Ethan loved doing anything on the water.
My mouth twisted into an adoring grin as I stared at my magnificent boyfriend.
“You taught me how to board. I suppose you can teach me how to surf, too?”
Ethan chuckled. “I’d love to. I’m not sure if we’ll have time on this trip.
I’ll line up another one soon. We should go to Hawaii or Australia. If you’re
going to learn, you might as well learn in one of the best surfing spots on the
planet.”
His hand veered from my hip down to my ass where he gently pinched me.
Ethan licked his luscious lips, and I saw a hunger in his eyes. I knew that
look. My breaths started becoming shorter as I responded to his fingers traveling
further down. Ethan hovered over me and pulled at my elbows to lay me on my
back. He took the rose out of my hand and set it on the nightstand before
sliding down the sheet. His lips fell to my collarbone and water dripped from
his hair into my cleavage. The coolness of it sizzled with the fire inside me.
“When is our first meeting today?” I stuttered.
“It’s still early. We can do whatever you want for a while,” Ethan purred.
He continued to leisurely kiss his way down to my breasts while one hand
wandered further down my thigh. My hand drifted between his thighs where I
timidly stroked his straining erection. His lips traveled along my chest until
they reached my breasts. Ethan flicked both nipples to attention before taking
one and sucking frantically. I groaned when he gently bit down before letting
his tongue take over.
“We can go for a walk on the beach,” Ethan murmured heatedly.
I grasped under his shoulders to bring him closer to me. Once in reach, I
ran my lips along the top of his pecks and returned the favor by biting down
along each of his nipples.
“We can go do some sightseeing,” Ethan groaned loudly.
My fingers ran across the tip of his cock before travelling down his shaft.
I worked to match the speed of my lips and the hand wrapped around him. My body
clenched as my ache for him grew. His lips journeyed to my neck where his
tongue glided to my jaw.
“Or we can stay here and make love,” Ethan whispered passionately.
He spread my legs even further and settled his hand inside before running several
fingers in and out. They slipped along the slickness. I bit down on his top lip
as he approached my mouth. I moved my tongue along the top of his before going
under his chin. I licked away at the saltiness with fervor. His chest rumbled
as I continued meticulously sucking along his throat. His fingers matched the
pace of my lips as they slipped over my clit.
He stilled my hand around him and placed it along his back. I brought my
other hand around him tightly, needing him to satisfy the inferno he had
created. He entered, with every inch of him penetrating deep within me. I cried
out and commanded my overly turned-on body not to let go. I ran my hands down
to his ass to urge him to move again. He groaned before twisting his hips.
I brought my hips up to meet every thrust he gave. My hands scratched up
his back on their way to his neck. I pulled him into me in demand for more and
he drove into me harder, creating a feeling of euphoria throughout my body. I
screamed out his name with each twist of his hips. He slowed down to take
several drawn-out thrusts.
“Fuck, you feel more amazing every time,” Ethan shouted.
My hips matched his momentum as he
brought us closer. He paused to roll us over to put me on top so I could take
him. I rolled my hips with urgency to find a release for us both. My back
arched as my hips carried along wildly. Ethan ran his hands along my sides
before cupping my breasts tenderly.
“Ethan … God, yes …” I panted.
He sat up to bring our faces together and straddled my legs around him
before driving his hips into me. My nails dug into his back as my body started
to clench around him. Our thrusts sped up as our bodies strove for a climax. I
tightened around him as he started to tremble. I ran my hands to his hair where
I grabbed on tightly and screamed out as the ecstasy took me from the room to a
far-off place. I shuddered and continued until my body found solid ground
again. Ethan rested his head in my shoulder as he found his own release. He
gently placed me on my back and slid out before falling next to me, his fingers
scratching lightly along my belly.

My Review:

This book is definitely one I was waiting on........ I wanted to know what was going to happen between Mia and Ethan. Also, what was the deal with this 'meeting' that was so important she attended.

This review will be hard to write without giving too much information away about the plot of the book. Let's just say that all things are not what they appear and some people aren't who they appear to be. There were moments of suspense, moments of true passion and it was page-turning! It keeps you on your toes with your heart pounding.

I do want to add in there how much I loved Ethan. His passion and devotion for Mia is out of this world! I loved some of the things he said to her! But, is he also keeping things from her??? When she finds out the truth will it destroy what they have between them??? He always seemed so grounded by his love for her and his want to keep her safe no matter the cost.

Overall I loved the story! There were many things I was not expecting.... especially surrounding Mia's past and all the people that are secretly involved or knew some information. The author did an amazing job keeping the reader pulled into the story wanting to know how the game will be played out. There were lots of lies and secrets that happened which had you questioning who was trying to protect who.

That ending...... the torture is going to be awful! Waiting will make hours seem like days and months like years. I hate that it ended with such a big cliffhanger but we have to keep in mind that it's To Be Continued...........

A REAPER MADE – CHAPTER 1
The old woman in the hospital bed took in a ragged sigh that sounded
like a struggle. She looked around the room, to the bouquet of
wildflowers that sat in a plastic jar at the foot of her bed. Then her
watery blue eyes focused in on me, sitting in the chair next to her. I
sat up, leaned in to take her wrinkled hand in my smooth one.

“Who are you?” she asked, her tone fearful.

“I think you already know the answer to that, Anna,” I said, keeping
my voice low and smooth. No need to further frighten them before they
passed on.

“An angel?”

I shook my head, a curtain of dark hair swaying with the motion. She swallowed hard.

“You’re Death.”

“Not quite. More like an escort.”

“A R-reaper.”

Many humans knew us by name, but it still surprised me when they came
out and said it. I nodded, a slow movement to prevent her from
panicking. Everyone feared dying. It was my job to help them transition.

Anna looked to the closed door and back to me. “You…can anyone else see you?”

“When I want them to, yes. Right now, however, it’s just you and me.”

The old woman blinked hard and when she opened them again, a single
tear streaked down her cheek. I gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.

“Anna, it’s all right. You’re moving on.”

“To where?”

I shook my head. “I can’t answer that. No one can. You must discover it for yourself.”

Anna withdrew her trembling hand from mine, put it over her heart. “I don’t know if I’m ready.”

“I wouldn’t be here if you weren’t.”

“What about my family? My daughter, my grandchildren? Can I say goodbye?”

“You saw them this morning, don’t you remember?”

Confusion crossed her face. Anna had been struggling with dementia in
addition to her illness, but I knew to be patient. It was in the job
description. When she still didn’t speak, I prodded a little.

“Anna, it’s time.”

She gave me another scared look. “Will it hurt?”

“No,” I assured her. “All you need to do is close your eyes and relax.”

Anna appeared to consider her options, her grip tightening on the
thin sheets. She sucked in a deep breath, wincing at the rattle in her
lungs. Then she steeled herself, looked at me and nodded. “Okay. I’m
ready.”

I gave her a warm smile and put my hands on hers. “Close your eyes.”

She did as instructed, the scared look on her face fading as she
relaxed into the bed. I sent warmth from my hands to hers, waited for
her soul to disengage from her physical body. After maybe ten seconds, I
felt a shift in Anna. A sigh escaped her, the air leaving her withering
lungs and decaying body. Keeping my hands on hers, I stood and waited.

Then Anna’s spirit came forward, her hand in mine as she lifted
herself from the physical plane. Without problem, Anna stood tall next
to me, looking younger than she had in years. Her body may have been old
and weathered, but her soul, as like most others, appeared younger,
vibrant. Most of the older souls, once out of the body that held them
back, were happy to feel alive again. It was one of my favorite things
about the job, to see the light shine in their eyes after years of aging
and physical pain.

Anna gripped my hand, looked back to her body lying peacefully on the
bed. She gave me a relieved look. “You were right, that didn’t hurt at
all.”

“I’m glad,” I told her with a smile. “Do you want to say goodbye?”

“To that old thing?” she said, waving her hand at her wrinkled body.
“I suppose I should, but now that I’m out, all I can think about is the
next step.”

“Not unusual,” I said, the corners of my mouth turning upward. Now
that Anna was free, the spunk she’d had in her youth returned. I
motioned my head towards the door. “Come. Walk with me.”

She didn’t let go of my hand as we walked through the door and out
into the hallway. No one so much as blinked at us as we wandered. At
first, Anna tried to skirt around obstacles and people, before she
realized she went right through them. Before we’d even reached the end
of the hallway, she was practically skipping.

“I haven’t felt this good in years,” she said. “Do you think I’ll reunite with my husband?”

“I can’t answer that for certain, but he’ll know you’re coming. He’ll find you if he can.”

“He used to say he’d follow me anywhere. I’ve missed him so much.”
She smiled at the memory, then paused as though realizing something. She
turned to me. “What is your name?”

“Grace.”

“Grace,” she repeated. “Thank you.”

“It’s my pleasure. Would you like to continue walking or do you think you’re ready?”

Anxiety flashed across Anna’s face before she swallowed hard and nodded. “I think…I think I’m ready to go.”

I squeezed her hand. “May you find peace in your afterlife.”

A warm breeze swept through the hallway, though the living continued
as though nothing were happening. The wind found us, circled around and
played with my and Anna’s hair. I let go of her hand and took a step
back as Anna looked around.

“Am I supposed to walk into the light?” she asked.

I couldn’t help but smile at the question; it seemed like everyone
always asked. I shook my head. “There are no bright lights. It’s okay –
take a deep breath and be patient.”

Souls didn’t need to breathe, but I always saw them do it before they
moved on. It seemed to calm them down as it would’ve had they been in
their human bodies. Old habits died hard, I supposed, but if that helped
them feel better, I saw no need to point it out.

The breeze picked up, turned into an unseen tornado that swirled
around Anna. Her hair went in every direction but her posture stayed
still. As she closed her eyes, I saw a smile grow on her face. Then the
wind took her, and Anna’s soul faded away in front of my eyes. Warmth
grew in my chest, as it usually did with each peaceful passing, and I
smiled briefly before turning back into the retirement home to find the
next soul.

Excerpt:

I think I get it then. That decision I saw in her eyes back in the kitchen. That’s what this, what I’m about for her, too. I’m just another part of whatever rebellion she started earlier today. About doing what she wants, not what’s expected of her.

“We’re not talking about me, though,” she says. “So you went to meet your friend, and then what happened?”

She keeps her eyes down as she picks up the gauze and begins winding it snugly around the knuckles of one hand, and then the other.

“He said the wrong thing.”

“Which was?”

“Dylan.” Now it’s her that’s pushing too hard. I didn’t want to talk about things with my friends, and I won’t talk about them with her, either, no matter how gorgeous she is.

“I’ll guess. You were mad about what he did, and he wasn’t sorry.”

“This isn’t middle school, Pickle. He didn’t hurt my feelings. He said some shit he had no business saying, and it pissed me off. The end.”

“But you don’t think some of that anger stems from what you feel is a betrayal of your friendship?”

She finishes taping down the last of the gauze, but doesn’t let go of my hand.

“I think you’re analyzing me again. Making things more complicated than they are.”

“And I think you’re just a guy who doesn’t like to admit he has feelings.” She drags out the word, teasing me with some goofy smile on her face. I turn my hand over so I can clutch her wrist. I curlmy other bandaged hand around her waist and pull her closer.

“I feel plenty of things.”

The teasing stops. She swallows.

“I wasn’t talking about that kind of feeling.”

With her standing and me sitting, I’m eye level with her chest. I see the sharp rise and fall as she sucks in a breath. I want her in my lap again, straddling me this time.

“Doesn’t mean we can’t talk about that kind of feeling. Or experiment with it.”

“Is that Stella girl an ex?”

I cough, surprised. My throat twists uncomfortably, and it takes me a couple of solid breaths to get a hold on myself.

“Ah, no. Stella and I have never dated.”

“Have you—”

“Do you ever run out of questions?”

“Not ever.” She turns playful again, and I’m done doing this the careful way. If she wants a rebellion, I’ll be the one to give it to her. I want her against me, and I’m tired of waiting.

I pull her forward, insinuating my knees between hers, and her body naturally follows, settling across my thighs. Her lips part, but she catches herself before she gasps this time. I keep her steady with my hands at her waist and say, “I’ll make you a deal. A question for a kiss.”

Tentatively, she lays her palms against my shoulders. They rest there, her grip light and casual. She ponders my offer for a moment, and it drives me mad that she can do that while our hips are inches away from alignment.

“Okay then. Are you—”

I cut her off. “Not so fast, Dylan Brenner. I’ve already answered one question. We’ve got to settle up first.”

I wrap her braid around my hand like I’ve been waiting to do all night, and I use it to pull her head back just enough that I can crush my mouth against hers.

My Review

So I just want to jump up and down and go crazy a bit…….. I absolutely adored, enjoyed, loved, and consumed All Broke Down. I can honestly say I liked it even better than All Lined Up…. It’s crazy to say that but I have officially caught the #SilasVirus! It is so contagious and addicting!

So, there are two main characters in this story…. Dylan and Silas! It is told from both of their POVs. They meet in jail, which sounds crazy, but it works for this story! They embark on a journey together that twists and turns but eventually will stable out … but the question is can they possibly be more than friends or will being friends be hard enough?

Let’s begin with Silas….. Holy-Mother-Of-Abs…. he is HOT! I mean H-O-T! He is also arrogant because he knows he is hot. He knows how the girls look at him but he also knows how to get them off. *fans myself*

“I’ll kiss you until you forget to breathe”

Silas has a past though that he is trying to escape, one that he wants to outrun and never look back. The past though will eventually catch up to us all and we must realize it is how we handle our past that shows how good we will be in our future. He also keeps Dylan at arm’s length because he thinks she is too good for him and he will bring her down.

“He’s right, you know. I will pull you down with me.” I lift my chin and reply, “If I go down, it will be because I jumped, not because you made me fall.”

I really liked Dylan’s character. Although she was so busy pleasing everyone else that she lost who she truly was, she wasn’t one of those whiney girls! She didn’t annoy me as much but there were times I wanted to yell at her and say, “Just jump on him already”! (Seriously… what girl in their right mind wouldn’t take that chance) Silas works his way under Dylan’s skin though…. It’s that #SilasVirus I mentioned earlier.

“Charm. I resist the urge to snort. Charm is smooth and subtle. Silas Moore is a force of nature. A freaking avalanche. He doesn’t have a subtle bone in his body.”

I loved being able to see little glimpses of Carson and Dallas. We also got to see Stella too! I will say it was hard to read the ending with Stella…. I know that it is something you shouldn’t take lightly but when these characters feel so real, like friends, you don’t want to see them go through something like that.

Cora did a phenomenal job with this story and I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for the next Rusk University novel!

Unholy Creations

Synopsis

My name is Kara Radcliff and I’m a witch. Not the pointy hat and black cat kind that you see on Halloween, but a true spell casting, sneaker wearing, party loving, kick-ass witch.

Until two weeks ago, that is all I was and all I ever wanted to be. My expectations in life didn’t soar higher than graduating college and finding a decent job that would help pay off my mounting student loans.

All of that went out the window when I received the invitation.

I've been selected to compete for the chance of a lifetime. If I win, not only will I fulfill the newly vacant spot as an Associate, but I will be leaving my family behind to go live and work alongside the four Rulers of our paranormal community. I will be trusted in helping them keep our kind safe and hidden from the humans and those among us that prefer to cause trouble and mayhem. Every society has hoodlums, our kind just happen to cause more destruction than most.

Being an Associate is an honor. The job is dangerous and will require me to go up against Fae, shifters, witches, and vampires that are much more powerful and stronger I could ever hope to be. I love kicking butt and casting spells, but even I have my limits.

On top of everything, I seem to have caught the attention of two of the Rulers. Only I could go from having no men in my life to having one too many. Neither man is used to hearing the word, “No”, and although my mind says the word often, my mouth and body keep saying, “Yes”. What is a witch to do?

Am I up for this new challenge? Yes.
Can I handle the danger? Yes.
Will my heart survive the journey? Maybe.

This is my screwed up story. This is my crazy life, and this is the just the beginning.

About the Author

C. Shell

I have loved books and romance novels since I was in high school. The happy endings and endless possibilities are alluring and addictive. I currently reside in Texas and when I am not thinking up my next bad-boy character I am working in the community rescuing dogs while being a wife and mother to my wonderful family.

I invite you to ask question, keep up to date with my latest books and give me your feedback.
