All Lined Up by Cora Carmack - Review

ALL LINED UP Synopsis:

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.

In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.

Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.

But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.

Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.

Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.

And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.

My Review:

This book was definitely a 5 star read for me!

First let me say if you haven’t read any of Cora Carmack’s books you are missing out! She has this way of bringing humor, romance and a little angst and drama into her books to keep each reader interested all the way to the end!

I knew this book had to be amazing because I have loved all her other books and it definitely did not disappoint! I fell in love from page 1 and couldn’t put it down until the very end! Since this is only book one in the Rusk University Series I am so excited and ready for more!
So…. What is this story about you might ask???? Well let’s throw in some Texas, college, some hot football players along with the coaches daughter and you can only imagine some of the things that could possibly happen.

Dallas has always been the ‘coaches’ daughter. Everyone in town always wants to know how to get their kid to succeed in football and Dallas has to play the good ‘coaches’ daughter roll…. Not now though… she is finally off to college in hopes to start her own life where everyone doesn’t know that her dad is now the new coach at Rusk University. Will things fall back into the same pattern as they have always been?

Dallas meets Carson one night at a party while trying to escape the jocks of the football team. Their meeting was anything but ordinary but also so romantic! My heart started beating quickly with hers and I felt the instant connection that they shared. It seemed like it could have been a fairy tale romance but were either of them really looking for a relationship… and what happens when Dallas shows up at practice one day and realizes Carson is a football player??

I loved the pull that was felt between Dallas and Carson… even when you want to not have something sometimes there are other cards in play for you! So friendship would be hard for them but they did try! Their chemistry though was a touchdown, meant to score from the very beginning!

You will find yourself loving all the secondary characters too! Especially Stella… she is a hoot and a half! I love it when the author can make the secondary characters shine in their own lights! Even though this is book 1 of a series it can be read as a standalone because the next book is about a different character in the story!

Cora Carmack Bio:

Cora Carmack is a twenty-something writer who likes to write about twenty-something characters. She's done a multitude of things in her life-- boring jobs (like working retail), Fun jobs (like working in a theatre), stressful jobs (like teaching), and dream jobs (like writing). She enjoys placing her characters in the most awkward situations possible, and then trying to help them get a boyfriend out of it. Awkward people need love, too. Her first book, LOSING IT, is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller.
