Synopsis:

Photographer Sierra Stratton views the world through a lens all her own. She has an uncanny sense about people, something that often causes her trouble. When she meets the sexy and brooding Evan Dorsey, her intuition tells her he’s suffering, and she wants to be the one to help him.

Evan isn’t open to help from anyone, however. His focus is on his Major League career and making himself as marketable as possible for his upcoming free agency. He plans to ride out the season in Atlanta and then sign with another team, away from the painful memories that haunt him.

Someone’s eager to send him on his way, too. Between anonymous threats and equipment sabotage, it’s clear he’s earned himself an enemy along the way. To him, it’s one more sign that he’s right to move on.

But Sierra threatens his conviction. Her contagious smile proves hard to resist, as does her kiss. She tempts him in ways he never anticipated, making him question his plans for the first time. If he’s not careful, she might just convince him that he’s meant for her.

My Review:

A truly beautiful story.

It was so wonderful reading a book where the female lead didn’t drive me absolutely nuts!!! Most of the time I usually want to smack some sense into the female characters in a book but there was something refreshing about Sierra’s character. I loved Sierra and her optimism and care free spirit. She had honesty about her that you don’t usually find in most female leads. She has the 6th sense about her and is able to know things about others. She is very observant and picks up on stuff others don’t.

When we are fist introduced to Evan we know he is unhappy and in a dark place in his life. He doesn’t stay in one location for a long period of time. He wants to play for Atlanta because of his deceased mother. She loved Atlanta. He ends up making that dream/wish come true and ends up living in the apartment beside Sierra.

They have an interesting relationship. It’s an instant attraction for them both. I loved how Sierra was always so open and patient with Evan. Evan seemed to be the more wishy washy one in the relationship. That was definitely a twist because in most stories you read it’s always the female lead.

This story isn’t just all beautiful butterflies either. There is drama and suspense that kept me guessing. If you want a story that has a little bit of it all this is definitely for you!!!
